The David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts (“the Center”) the largest performing arts center in the Southeast, is seeking to fill the position of Web Developer reporting to the IT Manager of Business Systems.

The Web Developer will be responsible for determining the architecture, technical direction and maintaining the operational readiness of the business-critical, high-volume e-commerce web site. This person will work with the various departments to plan for the desired features and functionality requirements of both the internal and external web sites.

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of programming technologies: ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, XML, as well as relational database integration in the form of an API.
• Experience with Visual Studio and
• Proven production support of web applications in a 24X7 environment
• In-depth knowledge of security best practices, including web application firewall usage.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience of 2+ years
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work and communicate with non-technical staff
• Self starter, ability to work with little supervision
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of performing arts and/or non-profits a plus
