Public Service Advertising Campaign Call For Entries

Ad 2 Tampa Bay Seeking Local Non-Profits in Need of Free Advertising

TAMPA, FL. August 24, 2006: Each year, Ad 2 Tampa Bay selects a local non-profit organization to be their Public Service client. As the Public Service client, the non-profit receives the benefit of having Ad 2 Tampa Bay’s members create and produce an all-encompassing, pro-bono, advertising campaign.

This opportunity is being extended to all non–profit organizations in the Tampa Bay area and focuses on their specific goals and objectives.  Ad 2 Tampa Bay’s young professionals volunteer one full year of their time, creativity and expertise to achieve the goals of the selected organization.  For over 20 years Ad 2 Tampa Bay has provided this service to non-profits such as the Watson Center for the Blind, 211 Tampa Bay Cares, The Humane Society, Child Abuse Prevention Council among others. “To this day, we are still using the cover designs and bus benches that Ad 2 Tampa Bay created,” said Cynthia Fox, Executive Director, 211 Tampa Bay Cares.  “The young and energetic team at Ad 2 Tampa Bay created a campaign that was both tasteful and stunning.  Every non-profit should take full advantage of this opportunity."

Ad 2 Tampa Bay is urging all readers to please fill out a Public Service Client Nomination Form via the website: www.ad2tampabay.org or email publicservice@ad2tampabay.org for more information. All forms must be received no later than September 15th.  Ad 2 Tampa Bay will select three finalists.  Each of the three finalists will be asked to give a presentation to determine who will be selected as the 2006-2007 Public Service Client. The new client will be announced at the Ad 2 Tampa Bay annual Ad Bash to be held in October, date TBD.
