EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR Tampa Bay area NON-PROFIT: PRO-BONO ADVERTISING!

TAMPA, FL - JULY 24, 2008: Ad 2 Tampa Bay and the Tampa Bay Advertising Federation (TBAF) are currently accepting applications for their annual pro-bono advertising campaign in which the organizations each donate advertising services to local charity organizations.

Both organizations of advertising professionals are affiliates of the American Advertising Federation. Annually, Ad 2 and TBAF each donate a complete advertising campaign to one non-profit organization in the Tampa Bay area. The organizations work with the chosen non-profit organization to identify its goals and objectives for the advertising campaign.

For previous campaigns, Ad 2 and TBAF have drafted press releases, produced advertisements, radio spots, television commercials and have helped organizations become the beneficiaries of over $50,000 in design, print and media donations. Other donations include billboards, broadcast time and printing to help produce the most professional, comprehensive advertising campaigns possible.

Ad 2 and TBAF design and produce this campaign with the time and materials donated by its members and Tampa Bay area businesses. The campaign comes at little or no cost to the chosen non-profit organization.

In an effort to better serve the community, the Tampa Bay Advertising Federation and Ad 2 Tampa Bay are currently accepting applications for the 2008-2009 Public Service Campaign at the same time. All interested non-profit organizations are encouraged to complete and return the application at www.ad2tampabay.org, by August 15th, 2008.

Please note that this year Ad 2 Tampa Bay is requesting for each organization to submit a brand statement along with the application, outlining the brand identity, needs and goals. Ad 2 Tampa Bay will invite the top 3 candidates in to present to the board on August 27th.  The candidate for the 2008-2009 Ad 2 Tampa Bay campaign will be selected that evening. The Tampa Bay Advertising Federation will choose their non-profit candidate in October 2008.

Both organizations will select a charity to work with this year in an effort to allow the advertising community in Tampa Bay to do more for the charities in our area.
