Tampa Bay Advertising Federation Announces
2009 Scholarship
TAMPA, FLORIDA, April 13, 2009/ -- The Tampa Bay Advertising Federation announces a $1000.00 scholarship available for high school or college students. Interested students must be enrolled in advertising, marketing, graphic design or mass communications curriculum at any school in Pinellas, Hillsborough or Pasco Counties. Graduating students and those who are going from high school to college are also eligible to apply.
To be considered for the scholarship, students must submit the application (available at www.tbaf.org), their portfolios, official notification of their GPA from the school, a brief statement of what they will do with the funds, and a brief statement listing their involvement in advertising or the community including a reference from the school or community.
Submissions will be judged on a point system with 40% awarded to the portfolios; 30% to the GPA; 20% on what the student will do with the funds; and 10% on their community involvement. The scholarship selection committee consists of the Tampa Bay Advertising Federation scholarship chair, education chair, internship chair and TBAF president.
Applications are due by May 15. Those interested can apply online at www.tbaf.org.
