Mentorship Program

Registration for the 2011-2012 Mentorship Program is now closed.

The 2012-2013 will be open for applications in Fall 2012.

The Mentorship Program is a beneficial experience to both the Mentor, a Tampa Bay area professional, and the Mentee, students attending local universities.  A successful mentoring relationship benefits those involved through increased confidence and a sense of direction.

We match each Ad 2 Tampa Bay student member with a professional member in the same field. Participants of the program will meet at least once a month to discuss career goals, review portfolios or resumes and review real-life perspectives in the industry.

Each partnership is unique.  It will be up to you and your partner to review your goals at the beginning of the program, then collaborate ideas to reach those goals, such as additional meetings, shadow days, etc.

Activity suggestions during the program:

  • Create a campaign together
  • Ask Mentees to attend company meetings or brainstorms
  • Shadow days
  • Introduce Mentees to your team at the office
  • Attend the Ad 2 and AAF events together
  • Ask the the questions provided in the Mentor Guide and to come up with goals to reach by the end of the program
  • Introduce Mentees to others in your field for additional perspective
  • Invite them to attend company functions
  • Meet with another Mentor/ Mentee pair
