| WHO: Ad 2 Tampa Bay
is hosting the 29th Annual Merchandise and Media Auction online via EBay this
year. WHAT: Donated media such as
print, production time, outdoor posters, photography, design, consulting and much more
will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
WHEN: We are starting the auction
Friday, May 16, 2008 during the afternoon. The auction items will close
seven (7) days later on Friday, May 23, 2008.
WHERE: In keeping with times, this
year's auction will be online using
EBay.
WHY: The Merchandise and Media Auction
raises funds to operate Ad 2 Tampa Bay which in turn allows Ad 2 to continue
providing pro bono public service advertising campaigns to local non profit
organizations

HOW: The auction works to benefit all
parties involved.
- Media Donors - Media is donated out
of the sales department allowing follow up with the winning bidders in an
effort retain them as a regular advertiser.
- Winning Bidders - Companies that
utilize this discounted media or service benefits get to try out the new
company, medium or service.
- Ad 2 Tampa Bay - Raises funds to
continue our efforts to provide professional development for young
professional, education and mentor students, create networking opportunities
and of course provide a pro bono ad campaign each year.
WHY AN ONLINE AUCTION?
We know the live event was such a blast but due
to market conditions we feel that this new format should be tried.
Tampa Bay's growth with numerous organizations,
events and activities has led to a decline in attendance. That is a good
thing for Tampa Bay and with our founding in 1977 we are proud to be a
significant part of that growth.
As young advertising professionals we feel this
new format will allow the auction items to be seen by far more people than we
could ever get in one room and that by having seven days to view and bid the
items should sell much closer to a reasonable discount value. |
DONATING
Auction donations are accepted until the start of the auction and can be made by
via email or fax using the downloadable form below. Each business that donates will receive a link on the list below (with enhanced ALT text) to your business website until next year's auction, renewable annually. Link/description value = $600/yr.
