JOB OVERVIEW

Sparxoo is one of the fastest growing integrated digital agencies. As part of our growth, we are looking for a dynamic content writer and content marketer to develop and produce engaging and educational content for our high growth technology and B2B clients. This Tampa, FL based role will be responsible for writing original content including, articles/blog posts, presentations, partner/sales enablement material, collateral, company website, white papers, email, publications and social media. You will work cross-functionally with internal and external teams (including marketing, sales, key stakeholders, creative, and product management).

The ideal candidate will lead with high-quality original content while participating in activation strategies including social activation and SEO to drive measurable business results.

The need for collaboration is minimal but should focus on providing primarily technical, analytical skills and guidance to the content and account teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Writing: Create original, compelling technical content that is aligned with client’s voice, and utilizes best practices in clear content with proper grammar and uniformity.  Elevate content through fact-based storytelling inclusive of collaborating with the design and multimedia team for integration of photography, graphics, and video.
Content Management: Use expertise to interpret client objectives, data insights, and digital marketing requirements into content plans by using a journalistic approach. Build out an organized, internal story-based editorial calendar and reporting system.
Content Marketing:  Identify opportunities to extend content reach inclusive of digital marketing and PR efforts highlighting editorial, product, and brand stories. Collaborate with Digital Marketing team members to increase social and search relevancy, utilizing data insights to optimize content and measure overall content effectiveness.
Brand Messaging: Master brand voice and tone ranging for technical and B2B. Understand and determine what type of content works for each audience, and convey key messages consistently in both short and long form copy. Generate new ideas on how to elevate all content creation and content distribution for maximum impact.
Digital PR: Identify opportunities for digital marketing and PR efforts to place editorials, product promotions and/or brand stories. Assist with content marketing initiatives to gain editorial placements through press, blogger outreach and inuencer alliances. Collaborate with the digital marketing team’s SEO/SEM members to increase search relevancy; help conduct keyword research and optimize content.
Digital Agility: Excel in a collaborative environment by contributing to the conversation with quick-thinking and problem-solving approach. This position must inspire greatness, add to brainstorming, build on ideas, and rapidly prototype to test-and-learn quickly. The ability to relate to individuals and nurture talent is central to effectively working together. And a sense of humor helps make collaboration more fun.

 

REQUIREMENTS

–4-year bachelor’s degree in communications or related field required, advanced degree a plus
–Minimum of 1 year experience with technical writing, content marketing strategy, tactics and implementation; ideally in an agency, B2B, or technology company setting
–Excellent writing and research skills with the ability to write coherent copy in a range of formats and tone
–A research / fact-driven approach for writing on a range of complex topics inclusive of technology, B2B, and business topics
–Experience with AP style required
–Ability to synthesize complex topics to general audiences
–Knowledge of lead generation, social media, and SEO strategies preferred
–Ability to write 5-10 quality long-form and short-form blogs per week ranging from technical to public sector clients
–Familiarity with WordPress content management system preferred
–Track record of professional and academic excellence
–Excellent personal management skills emphasizing time management, planning, organization and attention to detail
–Energetic, outgoing, extremely well organized, inspired, professional, decisive, confident, and focused
